Understanding, Identifying & Labelling Emotions

Here we advise focusing on how you can learn to notice, step back from, understand and influence which emotions you have, when you have them and how you experience and express them. In order to regulate emotions, we need to learn how to identify and describe our emotions.

Once we understand our own emotions, we can learn how to cut down the frequency of the ones we don’t want.

Spend a few of minutes now writing down 10 emotions and try and describe how they make you feel and why.
